General Hospital Spoilers – Jordan Ashford Needed A Kidney Transplant

General Hospital viewers will recall that several years ago, Jordan was involved in a serious accident when Drew Cain (then Billy Miller) ran into her in a parking garage and pinned her to the wall! Drew had experienced the same literally blinding headache as had the rest of the twins in the memory mapping studies, and it was a side effect of the procedures.

However, his sight was restored as in the case of all the other twins – his own twin, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) had it happen in a lighthouse when he was trying to rescue Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) from Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). He tumbled down a spiral staircase! Both Drew and Jason recovered, but Jordan suffered internal injuries and her kidneys began failing! General Hospital viewers will recall that through a very complicated set of circumstances and a good bit of trickery, a donor kidney was finally found for Jordan – ironically, it came from Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom)!

General Hospital Spoilers – Jordan Ashford’s One Kidney Became Compromised

General Hospital viewers will recall that Jordan’s one kidney became compromised a few weeks ago when she, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) wanted to question a man named Roger Barstow (Brett Chapin) following up leads on the murder of Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) and also because he once worked in the Crichton-Clark Clinic. Barstow lay dead in the basement of the old house, and while Curtis chased his suspected murderer, Portia and Jordan were locked in the basement, and there was a pipe leaking gas!

Portia tried to stop the leak, but her efforts were not enough and Jordan passed out from the fumes. General Hospital viewers will recall that Curtis came back to the house and heard Portia’s screams and got them out. Once Jordan was brought to General Hospital and evaluated, it turned out her kidney function was compromised; Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) had her transferred to a specialty kidney clinic in Albany, New York for further treatment.

General Hospital Spoilers – Jordan Ashford Came To The Port Charles Police Department From The Drug Enforcement Administration

Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that Jordan, then played by Vinessa Antoine, came to Port Charles straight out of the Drug Enforcement Administration, or DEA. She and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had known each other, and soon Jordan transferred from the DEA to regular police and became the Port Charles Police Commissioner. The role was created in 2014 and in 2018, Vinessa left the role to pursue other opportunities. At that time, Briana Nicole Henry took over the role.

Briana played Jordan until September 13, 2021 and the role was played briefly by Tiffany Daniels when Briana took a short leave of absence. The recently married Briana left the role of Jordan deciding that after a couple of years, it was time to move on. At the current time, the storyline would allow for the character of Jordan Ashford to be either recast or for one of the previous portrayers to reprise her role, although nothing has been announced.
