General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of March 13, 2023, reveal that fans of ESPN host Stephen A. Smith’s singular character Brick will be pleased to know that Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) “security chief” is back in Port Charles, New York.
Brick has been important to Sonny especially now that Stone Cold Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is six feet under.

Smith first appeared on GH in 2007. Back then the big General Hospital fan appeared on the ABC soap as a – what else — reporter. For years athletes and sports figures have gotten hooked on daytime historically sitting around in hotel rooms with nothing to do but wait for night games.
After his debut, Benard returned the favor and appeared on Smith’s ESPN show, First Take. Following the meeting up Smith was given a more substantial role as Sonny’s “surveillance” expert. Of course, Brick’s job description leaves out a few key facts, such as him being 50 shades of gray under the legal definition of a security expert.

Over the years Brick has assisted not just Sonny but also Sonny’s now ex-wife, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
It was Brick who traced a call from Russia that turned out to be a portal to the news that Jason was alive and identified as Patient Six.
Brick also stepped in to tinker with Sonny’s dad’s phone when Mike Corbin (Max Gail) was in the grip of Alzheimer’s. And Brick was the one who came through for Sonny when he managed to track down his missing son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
What Happens In Port Charles, New York The Week Of March 13, 2023?
Additionally, Brick was the one who handily faked records so that Turkish teen, Dev (Ashton Arbab) could stay in Port Chuck under Sonny’s wing. He also helped to get data on evil Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), and helped Jason and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) when they needed to hide in a safe house. Given his track record, why is Brick only freelancing for Sonny?!
