General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will have a DNA dilemma when she sees what the results are on an upcoming GH episode!
General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Gets The Test Results
Carly received a text message as the court hearing for the visitation rights of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) comes to order, that the DNA test was ready to pick up. Of course, she couldn’t just leave the courtroom and excuse herself to trot over to the GH lab and pick them up, although she was anxious to find out. She had taken a glass that Nina had drank out of at Charlie’s Pub and then got something of Willow’s from the gatehouse to see if they were a match.
Carly couldn’t take for granted that Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) deathbed confession was true, that Nina was Willow’s birth mother and Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) fraternal twin. So she did what she had to do and ordered a DNA test to find out for sure.
General Hospital Updates – Carly Corinthos Picks Up The Test Once The Verdict Has Been Read
Once the verdict has been read, Carly picks up the test and is shocked to see that Harmony was telling the truth, and much to her horror, the DNA matches! Carly knows that this proves conclusively that Willow is Nina’s daughter and that she is Nelle’s fraternal twin, as well as Wiley Corinthos’ (Viron Weaver) aunt by blood! Obviously, that is NOT what Carly wanted to hear and NOT what she had expected – knowing that Harmony was a lying liar who lied and she figured she lied again! Now Carly is faced with an unpleasant truth that she must make a decision about; tell the truth, or keep it to herself, since the truth would rock Willow’s world. The truth has already rocked Carly’s world and there is Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to consider as well – it would rock his world too and cause problems.
General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Weighs The Options
Now that Carly knows that Willow is Nina’s daughter, she weighs the options of telling the truth or keeping it to herself, so she mentally notes the pros and cons. She knows that she is having a difficult time already not thinking of Willow in a different way; apples don’t fall far from trees, although she leaves Wiley out. Somehow, in Carly’s rather warped way of thinking, Wiley has to be young enough to suppress or purge the genetic evil of Nelle and Nina.
Carly knows that if Michael knew he would see Willow differently too – he wouldn’t be able to help it any more than Carly can! Then there is the inherent risk of Willow being more open to Nina and not protecting Wiley from her if she knew the truth, and Nina must be stopped!
Carly Corinthos Makes A Decision
Carly makes the decision to protect Michael, Willow, and Wiley from Nina regardless of what the DNA test says. She decides to keep the test and its results a secret and shreds the test results in a paper shredder. She deems Nina a psychotic, dangerous person like her other daughter Nelle and she doesn’t want Michael or Willow to know the truth, regardless; it could only cause harm.
Of course, there is still the unresolved issue of the PCPD wanting to find if Willow was kidnapped; and Willow wants to find her birth parent or parents as well! How is Carly going to convince her not to search for them, or is she going to pay someone to falsify records?

Of course Carly should tell Willow, but she won’t. No surprise there. Maybe at some point she will tell Michael, if it suits her purpose. She is no better than Nina was by keeping a secret, but of course as she always does Carly will justify until she dies that her reason for keeping everyone in the dark was for “Wileys’ good. Plus the fact she would rather run through hell wearing gasoline drawers than give Nina the satisfaction of knowing that Wiley’s Aunt by blood is raising him with Michael.
