General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Britt And Sonny Corinthos Connect

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will make a surprising connection in upcoming episodes of General Hospital. Chances are, Sonny won’t blame Britt for the presumed death of Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) even though she may likely blame herself!

General Hospital Spoilers – Britt Westbourne Called Jason Morgan To Help Find Liesl Obrecht

General Hospital viewers will remember that when Liesl went missing, Jason had offered to help her find her. But at the time, Britt didn’t want to take him up on the offer, still stinging from the rejection of his suddenly having dumped her to marry his bestie, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright)! But then Sonny got his memories back and suddenly showed up in Port Charles, nearly walking in on Jason and Carly consummating their marriage!

There was some discussion after a few days between Jason and Sonny if Jason and Carly had really fallen in love, and Britt finally called Jason to take him up on his previous offer and he went with her to Cassadine Island! But as General Hospital viewers will recall, unfortunately Jason had to respond to Peter August (Wes Ramsey) taking shots at him, Drew Cain, (Cameron Mathison) Liesl and Britt. Peter’s gunshots caused the tunnel to collapse over Jason, as Liesl had previously warned him it could. But Peter didn’t care, so for all intents and purposes, if Jason is dead, it’s on him, not on Britt!

GH Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Lashes Out At Britt Westbourne

General Hospital viewers know Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will be devastated and lashing out when she finds out about Jason’s death! Carly will place the blame for Jason’s death squarely on Britt, who may indeed be the one who tells her about the tragedy. Monday’s General Hospital preview shows Carly encountering a devastated Britt who appears to be in shock at the hospital, asking if everyone was safe! Carly seems to handle loss with anger rather than with grief, and looks to strike out at someone she can make a scapegoat!

That certainly won’t help matters for Britt, even though she is blaming herself – Drew, also is blaming himself although clearly, they had no choice but to leave Jason behind in the collapsed tunnel. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and the WSB forced them to leave because of the danger, and their specialized search and rescue team detected no heartbeat or signs of life with their specialized equipment.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Has Compassion On Britt Westbourne

General Hospital viewers know that there was a kinder, gentler version of Sonny as amnesiac “Mike” during his time in Nixon Falls, Pennsylvania. Britt will see that part of Sonny when he tries to comfort her over the loss of Jason. General Hospital viewers have already seen that softer side when he’s dealt with Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros) and reached out in a fatherly way to his nephew Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and his cousin Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). Sonny may even be with Carly when she confronts Britt, and tell Carly to call off the dogs!

Sonny sent Jason into many dangerous situations in which he could have been killed, and Jason, as Sonny’s enforcer and friend, always went. Jason could have been killed many times during those situations, and the first time he was presumed killed was at the pier, responding to a situation that turned out to be a trap! Sonny will remind Britt that Jason chose to come to her aid – and that there was nothing she could have done considering the circumstances. Britt will see the softer side of Sonny and the two will make an unexpected connection over Jason!
