General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that the daytime drama filmed its 15,000th episode, making the soap the longest-running scripted TV drama currently in production. The soap’s cast and crew celebrated the milestone with a cake-cutting ceremony on the Prospect Studios lot in Los Angeles on May 12.
Executive producer Frank Valentini and General Hospital stars, including Maurice Benard, Genie Frances, and Laura Wright, attended the event. The soap’s 15,000th episode is scheduled to air on Friday, June 17.
General Hospital will be celebrating its 60th anniversary on April 1, 2023. Since its debut on the small screen, the sudser has earned 14 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Daytime Drama Series.
General Hospital Spoilers – Felicia’s Suspicions Grow As She Spots Esme With Ryan
Meanwhile, in the upcoming episodes of the General Hospital, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) will argue over their strategy. Ryan wants to see results right away, but the latter believes that waiting or the right timing is the best thing to do.
Meanwhile, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) uses her connection to Mac Scorpio (John J. York) to get inside Ryan’s hospital room. Ryan immediately pretends to be locked in while Esme makes up an excuse as to why she’s there.
Felicia isn’t that gullible, so her conversation with Esme will immediately take a tense turn. Not to mention, she may very well be Esme’s biological mother, so things can easily take a more exciting and dramatic turn.
General Hospital Updates – Drew Learns How Much Money Carly Invested Into Aurora
As for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), he’ll be delighted to learn that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) is interested in investing in Aurora. Drew and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) want to drive the stock price up before the merger. They will be surprised to learn that the price has suddenly increased.
Carly thinks that she should be given credit for being the reason why the stock price is up, even though her decision to invest was against Michael’s wishes. The latter will be surprised when he learns about it, and Drew will also be shocked when he realizes how much money he’s invested into Aurora.
Carly is taking a big risk, but it doesn’t matter as long as she can help Michael and Drew. Her plan will succeed, as evidenced by the big boost that Drew and Michael will get, which will allow them to proceed with their plans.
