General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) wishes everyone would just mind their own business. He had no idea before he came to Port Charles that his biggest hurdle in claiming Leopold Taub’s necklace would be the feelings of other people. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is one of the worst offenders. Ever since Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) hired Sam to investigate the origins of the necklace she found in Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) safe deposit box, everything has gone south.

Sam hasn’t had the best vibes about Cody since he got to town, but she has given him the benefit of the doubt because he is Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) childhood, pal. Sam seems to be suspicious of every move Cody makes, and it’s in her nature to be, as a private investigator. But this is more than that. It’s personal. Cody felt he had no choice but to turn the tables on Sam, and he certainly has.
General Hosptial Updates – Cody Bell Leaves Sam Feeling Rattled
Cody’s past certainly is checkered, and heavily intertwined with Dante’s younger years. Cody hasn’t tried to hide that he’s not the perfect human being, but it seems like he wants to be better, and wants others — like Mac Scorpio (John J. York) to see the good in him. Of course, he wants this while he’s also lying to everyone in an attempt to claim a $35 million necklace as his birthright when it isn’t his right at all. Fast-forward to today and Cody has been a cordial guest at the Quartermaines, and a loyal friend to Dante since he arrived in Port Charles. However, when provoked as he was by Sam, he just might bite back, and go back on his word to Dante. When he implied he knows more than Sam does about things Dante has done that he might not want to get out, Sam was taken aback. Maybe she’s not equipped to bark up this tree.
Cody Bell Could Retaliate
Sam’s biggest concern is that Cody could hurt someone she loves again. Sure, he’s promised that he wasn’t going to use his leverage against Spinelli anymore, but that doesn’t change the fact that he has it if he decides to change his mind. Furthermore, it sounds like Cody might have dirt on Dante, and that’s the last person Sam would want to see get wrapped up in Cody’s melodrama.
Until Sam knows what it is that Dante did, she won’t have a true understanding of just how worried she should be that Cody could squeal. However, in the meantime, she still sees Cody as a massive threat; so she’s going to try to back off. We can’t say the same about Spinelli though.
