General Hospital spoilers say that when it comes to Carly Corinthos, fans have seen the good, the bad, and the downright ugly over the years. That, and we’ve also seen her as the sweetest woman in the world and one who would throw the entire city under the bus if she could.

However, the character has also been played by several different actresses over the years and as many fans know, each one has brought something different to the table.
Just to recall, Carly has been played by Laura Wright (who is currently in the role now) along with actresses Tamara Braun and Jennifer Bransford. However, GH fans certainly do have their opinions as to who they think suited the role the best.
Clearly, many General Hospital fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “Jennifer wasn’t as bad as people claim. The people in charge mishandled her from the start.
They worked Tamara to the bone, and had Jennifer take over the character the day after she left. One day Tamara’s Carly finds out that Michael is alive and catches Sonny in bed with Reese.”
Another critic wrote, “I think this Carly version was more well rounded with AJs version played by Sean Kanan. She was more than angry and yelling all the time.”

“There was humor and something to root for. Guess I rarely see that with this Carly, and just want to have some lightness in the show if I have to see a main character for so long.”
And then there was this comment as well: “I still think the very first year that Carly was on GH was the cream of the top performance and story-line for the character.
It was a bad girl character that you couldn’t look away from, and you felt empathy for her. Even when she was trying to blow up Bobbie’s life for giving her up for adoption.”
