Maurice Benard who plays the role of Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital, (GH,) is very much a family man, so he looked forward to Christmas and buying gifts. On the day after Christmas, he revealed a gift that he got for Paula Smith, his wife. And, he became choked up and emotional. Read on to find out why.
GH Star Maurice Benard Shared TT At Christmas
Tiana, AKA “TT,” was excited about the holidays and she posed very sweetly for a seasonal photo that her grandpa shared on social media. The daughter of Maurice, Cailey, and her husband Carlos Avila’s daughter, TT found a very soft spot in her grandfather’s heart. So, he made sure she had a special Christmas with a visit by Santa.
Maurice Benard revealed that he went gift hunting for his family, but he didn’t manage to find quite what he wanted for his wife, Paula. However, the GH crime boss found something else that his big heart simply couldn’t resist.
GH Star Maurice Benard Gets Emotional
Taking to Instagram, the General Hospital star told his ABC fans in a reel what happened. In the reel, he stood holding an adorable pup from “Give Love.” In his caption, the ABC actor wrote, “You ever have a Christmas where nothing goes right. Every gift you try to get falls apart. When finally the card you write makes all the difference in the world. HALLELUJAH MERRYCHRISTMAS.”
There was more to come, and Maurice Benard explained about it to his ABC fans in the reel. Choking up, he said:
Okay Puala here’s the thing. I wanted to get you something…I wanted to get you a painting. That didn’t work out, so I wanted to come here and choose…with Santa Claus and flowers… but the lines were about a mile long. So I had to fix that. I got you other presents and, uh, but, this is …you know, it’s close to Santa Claus. I’m sorry, but I love you, and uh Merry Christmas.
Emotional Christmas Gift Reel Gets Kudos
