General Hospital Spoilers: How Sidwell’s Actions Turn the Reopening of Charlie’s Pub into Chaos
General Hospital spoilers and updates hint at an exciting reopening party for Charlie’s Pub, but watch out-Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is likely to wreak havoc! GH fans might remember that the pub needed renovations in the first place because Sidwell set it ablaze in a vendetta against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Jenz Originally Told His Arsonist To Make Sure The Pub Was Empty, But It Wasn’t!
He had instructed his henchman to make sure Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) was nowhere near the pub when the chaos erupted, but fate had other plans, and she was there.
This intensified the already fiery rivalry between Sidwell and Sonny. Thankfully, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) heroically saved Kristina’s life, a fact that weighed heavily on Sidwell during his son’s funeral when Kristina came to pay her respects.
Now that Charlie’s has been revamped and is ready to welcome back patrons, it presents the perfect chance for Sidwell to seek his revenge. After all, it was his son who rescued Sonny’s daughter, and perhaps Sidwell feels compelled to right that wrong.
Cullum Offed Marco, But Sidwell Is Convinced Sonny Is Guilty
Deep down, Sidwell is convinced that Sonny orchestrated Marco’s horrific murder, but the audience knows the truth. Indeed, it was WSB double agent Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), Sidwell’s partner in the cold fusion project, who ultimately took Marco’s life.
Upon discovering that Marco had betrayed him and his father by pilfering Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Theibaud) medication, Cullum decided to take action. However, he’s keeping this under wraps, falsely accusing Sonny of being behind Marco’s stabbing, ensuring that Sidwell remains steadfast until Sonny faces the consequences.
In the latest General Hospital preview, we see Kristina on stage at Charlie’s, enthusiastically announcing, “Welcome to the new and improved, Charlie’s!”
Sidwell May Find A Way To Spoil The Celebration
The audience erupts in applause, and as the scenes transition, Sonny is seen smiling at his daughter, saying, “It’s going to be a great night.” This strongly hints that Sidwell might find a way to spoil the celebration, whether through another firebomb incident or by planting a real bomb. But keep in mind, soap opera time doesn’t align with reality, so this opening could unfold over several days!
On the other hand, since Sidwell might prefer not to get his hands dirty by harming or killing other guests, could he possibly hire a hitman to specifically target Kristina? Perhaps he’ll enlist a henchman to attack Sonny’s daughter in the same manner he believes his son was murdered?
