General Hospital’s Rebecca Herbst Opens Up About Her Character, Liz
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Rebecca Herbst Talks About Her Alter ego in the daytime drama, Elizabeth Webber. She talks about what she likes and dislikes about her character and other interesting things about Liz.
What She Likes and Dislikes Most About Liz
For Herbst, if there’s one thing that she likes about her character it’s that she always prioritizes her kids. She’s a great single mom and she’ll always be there to defend her boys. However, the actress dislikes the fact that her alter ego can easily forget all the hurtful things that were done to her by other people and fails to hold them accountable for their actions.
Liz’s Relationships
When it comes to family relationships, she’s closest to Steve Webber (Scott Reeves) and Audrey Hardy (Rachel Ames). When she’s in trouble at work, she often turns to Terry Randolph (Cassandra James). She also formed a special bond with Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). She’s her go-to gal when she’s having problems with her personal life.
She also had a special relationship with Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson). He was the first one who showed her what love is when she was a teenager. She experienced unconditional love, which she never received from her parents.
Meanwhile, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) made her feel protected, another thing that her parents never made her feel. Liz felt safe when she was with Jason. But Herbst’s character was happiest when she was with Franco. They’ve been together for several years and that was the longest time Liz felt really happy.
Liz had a lot of great memories and relationships to cherish but she also went through dark times. The worst thing that happened to her was when she got raped when she was a child and she had received no support from her parents. Lucky was there for her when Liz’s sister and parents abandoned her.
Elizabeth’s Career
Liz is a compassionate and caring person, which is why being a nurse suits her well. It’s also one of her redeeming qualities especially when she does stupid mistakes. When she’s not working, Liz loves to take care of her kids and do household chores.
