General Hospital Star Kristina Wagner Pays Tribute To Her Late Son
General Hospital star Kristina Wagner is experiencing the worst pain a parent can feel after losing her 27-year-old son, Harrison, after a battle with mental illness and addiction in June. Harrison was the younger son of Kristina and her ex-husband, Jack Wagner, who once played Frisco Jones against Kristina’s Felicia.
Harrison’s Death Weighs Heavy On Hearts
Soon after the Wagners’ son was found dead, Jack Wagner released this statement: “We are heartbroken that he ultimately lost his battle with addiction, and we hope that Harrison’s memory will live on through this scholarship and will help other young men get help for their addiction that would not otherwise be able to afford it.”
Now, Kristina has taken to Instagram to talk about her son in a heartwarming post talking about the kind of man her son was and how much she misses him every day.
Mother’s Day Memories For Kristina Wagner
“A couple of Mother’s Days back I drove up to Harrison’s place and he greeted me, “Thank you, Mom.” I’m sure if he could show his face right now he would join me in thanking you all for your love, condolences, and flowers,” Wagner wrote on Instagram on September 2, 2022. “And I’m pretty sure he would say, ‘Thank you for taking care of my Momma.’ I carry Harrison in my heart forever and the joy he radiated to others. He was a unique man indeed.”
Jack and Kristina Wagner married in 1990 after meeting on the GH set in the 1980s and first had son Peter, followed by Harrison. While Kristina remained with the soap off and on for years, Jack found fame in primetime including on the soap Melrose Place. He also appeared as Nick Marrone on The Bold and the Beautiful, with a brief comeback earlier this year.
In 2016, Jack made Harrison’s struggles with mental illness public when the young man went missing for a few days, but was ultimately found.
Kristina Wagner took some time off GH following her son’s death after being put back on contract earlier this year. However, she is now back on set and we have been seeing Felicia again on a regular basis. Our condolences still go out to Jack and Kristina Wagner after their unfathomable loss.
