General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is framing Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). There is no body but Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) is being presumed dead, and Anna winds up being arrested based on manufactured evidence.
General Hospital Spoilers: Incriminating Evidence
A drone video had surfaced which showed someone that appeared to be Anna taking aim and shooting Lucy twice, with Lucy falling off the dock into the harbor. Anna knew it wasn’t her, and unless her twin Alex Marick (Finola Hughes) is alive or someone’s sporting Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) old Anna mask, the video had to be doctored. Anna also suspected that Victor was behind the drone video being made as well, which supposedly was made by a tourism company for the city of Port Charles.
Attorney Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) was in the PCPD looking at the video also and had ADA Jennifer Arden (Jennifer Field) on hand to formally accuse Anna of murder. Port Charles Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) refused to arrest her or to be bullied and let Anna out to check her car for planted evidence.
GH Spoilers: Victor Cassadine Released
Victor was in the police station for questioning, along with his attorney Roz Venta (Nawal Bengholam) who had also represented Peter August (Wes Ramsey) in the past. Roz kept on her toes with every accusation Anna leveled against Victor, who soon was released. But first, Anna checked her car, not ignorant of Victor’s tactics; she found the clothing the shooter wore and the gun she used in the wheel well of her trunk. Unfortunately, the drone video could not be proven doctored or faked, and she’s arrested, even though neither Jordan nor Mac Scorpio (John J. York) believes she’s guilty. Prior to her arrest, she confides in Detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), likely about what she’s found planted in her trunk.
General Hospital Spoilers: Encouraging Visitors
As Anna sits in lockup at the PCPD, Mac and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) visit her to lend their support and encouragement. Neither believes she is guilty and there has to be some explanation for the doppelgänger, and both believe she’s been framed. She tells them about her worries about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) also, that she’s convinced he is in danger.
Anna was worried it was a trap by Victor and so was Valentin when he left on his father’s plane to a supposed visit to Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McClain). She confides the supposed visit to Charlotte to Robert and Mac and wants to make sure no harm has come to him or Charlotte.
