General Hospital Spoilers: Operation Demeter? Did Navy Steal The Ice Princess Technology?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that the Navy Seal operation, “Operation Demeter” that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) wanted intel from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) on recently on General Hospital could be connected to the missing Ice Princess diamond or the Ice Princess technology. Does Victor think the Navy stole his late brother Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) technology?
General Hospital Spoilers – “Demeter” Is The Name Of A Goddess In Greek Mythology
For many General Hospital viewers, the name “Demeter” is simply Greek to them, but to those General Hospital viewers who have studied Greek mythology it is the name of a goddess. Demeter was the goddess of grain and agriculture in ancient Greek mythology, and her daughter Persephone was said to be the reason why there is winter, Persephone having to spend one third of the year in the underworld with her husband Hades.
This could mean that “Operation Demeter” had something to do with controlling the weather, although the Navy would have had much more altruistic intentions than Mikkos Cassadine, who blackmailed Port Charles with threatening to freeze the world. There’s a good chance that they were trying to create not carbonic snow or ice, but the rain so badly needed for agriculture to grow grain and other crops to feed the world!
General Hospital Spoilers – The True Ice Princess Diamond Is Apparently Lost Along With The Formulas
Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that a fake ice princess diamond was delivered once before, around twelve or fifteen years ago to Lulu Spencer, (most recently Emme Rylan) then Lulu Falconeri. She was kidnapped by the Cassadines to Cassadine Island, where Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly) had frozen her, calling her his “ice princess”, but when Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) found out that the diamond was not the real one she was upset.
Longtime viewers of General Hospital will remember the original Ice Princess that operated Mikkos’ weather machine was a large, raw, uncut diamond mounted on a statuette, and the formulas for using it were in the base of the statuette. Without the formulas, the diamond alone would be worthless for operating the weather machine although it may bring a large sum of money on the market; it is unknown whether Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) had the whole statuette. It is unknown whether she even had the real diamond, but someone must have thought it was or it wouldn’t have been stolen again!
General Hospital Spoilers – Victor Cassadine Wants To Reclaim The Cassadine Legacy
General Hospital viewers will recall that Victor said he wanted to reclaim the Cassadine legacy, something that belongs to the Cassadines. Victor’s whole objective for wanting to control Drew Cain was to be able to access his memories – which may be impossible – hoping they would lead to the lost Cassadine legacy. Whether the Navy stole the Ice Princess technology or the Ice Princess itself is doubtful, although a mercenary like Hank “Shiloh” Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) could have gotten it into their hands without their knowing it was stolen.
There’s already history of him working with Helena when he kidnapped Drew out of Afghanistan; the big question for General Hospital viewers is whether Victor wants to find and reclaim a legacy or a weapon! Another big question is whether Victor wants to use the Operation Demeter technology or if he thinks the Navy has the actual Ice Princess, statuette, formulas, and all!
