General Hospital Spoilers: Laura and Kevin’s Careers Plant Ace Firmly in Elizabeth’s Care?
General Hospital spoilers reveal Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) are poised to take on parenthood. This won’t be the first time around this block for Laura, but she’s excited to see what parenting looks like with Kevin.
Having fallen in love with one another so late in life, neither of them ever expected they would be raising a child together — and yet, here they are. Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) needs a stable and loving home, and there’s no place he knows better than Laura and Kevin’s place. Still, that doesn’t mean this is going to be an easy feat for them.
Laura is the Mayor of Port Charles, after all, and Kevin has a busy psychiatry practice at the hospital. Will Ace end up taking a back seat to their careers, and if so, will someone else rise up to take over the role of his primary caregiver?

Laura and Kevin both looked at each other with bewilderment in their eyes when they decided to become Ace’s legal guardians. Adopting him is a major commitment that will reshape the rest of their lives in ways they never expected.
They’ve enjoyed being empty nesters part of the time they’ve been married, but Laura has shared much of the burden of raising Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), too.
As Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) escaped his role as a parent for all the wrong reasons, Spencer grew up with his grandmother as a role model. So Ace can’t turn out too badly now, can he? But times have changed, and Laura isn’t a spring chicken.
GH Spoilers Hint Elizabeth Lends Some Thought to Motherhood
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) promised Laura that she and her boys would be there for her and Kevin should they need any help. She intends to deliver on that promise — and Laura and Kevin are going to need to rely on the help more than they can imagine right now.
As they settle in and prepare to legally adopt Ace, they will find themselves stretched thin as both of their careers ramp up in ways they couldn’t have predicted.
Relying on Elizabeth more than they expected to need will slowly bring the question to light of who Ace should really be living with.
General Hospital Spoilers — “I Owe Him One”
Elizabeth is nothing if not a saint. While she’s made plenty of mistakes, she tends to own up to them when the majority of people wouldn’t.
Coming clean with the police about her role in holding Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) hostage was something she needed to do to clear her conscience — the same as telling Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) the truth about her relationship with Nikolas and what they had been up to.
Now, watching Nikolas do the same in the pursuit of wiping the slate clean and paying for his crimes is going to give her a new outlook on their future friendship.
Elizabeth has felt guilty about confessing and throwing Nikolas under the bus ever since she did it, and taking good care of Ace might be the best way for her to ensure she repays him in kind while he’s “away.” Will Laura and Kevin see it that way?
