General Hospital spoilers hint that Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure) seems very smitten with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). The handsome and charming “stranger” made it clear during a recent episode that he’d like to get to know her better; however, she also let him know that she’s seeing someone.
Is he interested in her because of a genuine attraction or because she’ll make a perfect pawn in his game?

GH spoilers reveal that Brennan isn’t only gunning for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), but he’s also got Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on his radar. With links to both Pikeman and the WSB, Brennan is a powerful man with connections.
Still, as charming and handsome as he is, he’s a brilliant schemer who knows how to manipulate people. He also might be new to Port Charles, but he’s fully aware of the town’s dynamics.
While he has a full deck of cards stacked in his favor, it’s always good to have an ace in the hole, right?
GH Spoilers: Brennan’s Focus On Carly Spencer
Brennan may honestly be attracted to Carly, but he also knows she’s Sonny’s ex-wife. With his connections, he probably also knows that Ms. Spencer was approached by the feds during her insider trading scandal and asked to throw her husband under the bus, yet she refused to.
Brennan is likely aware that while Carly and Sonny are “exes” they are still fiercely loyal to one another. He may also know that despite being exes, Sonny is protective of Carly not only because she’s the mother of some of his children, but also because Corinthos still cares for his wife.
There are sparks between Carly and Brennan, despite Ms. Spencer being in a relationship with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Still, it’s hard to truly gauge whether or not Brennan intends to get closer to Carly to use her, or because he’s sincerely interested. It may even be a scenario where his first intentions were to use her, but then he genuinely falls in love.

No no! He is much too smarmy and Carly is too savvy not to catch on to his game! Wouldn’t it be more fun if she would put Sonny on to him and become his heroine again!! Please don’t have her falling for that guy’s line!!
