General Hospital spoilers reveal Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) have grown closer in recent weeks than they’ve ever been before.

Perhaps that’s because Ava is finally leveling the playing field by confiding in Nina the way Nina has been confiding in her for the last couple of years. Telling Nina about her murder attempt on Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was just the tip of the iceberg, but she’s peeling back the layers bit by bit.
On the other hand, Nina has been holding out on Ava more than usual. Rumor has it that’s about to change though. Will she tell Ava the truth about Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) blackmail operation and her desire to tell Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) the truth just so he can help her out of this mess?
General Hospital Spoilers — Nina is Keeping Secrets
Nina is keeping one secret so well because she’s lying to herself with each passing day. The closer she gets to truly considering telling Sonny she is responsible for the FEC catching onto Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), the more she’s convincing herself she would be doing it for the right reasons.
Telling herself it would be for the betterment of her marriage is an easier pill to swallow than admitting she would never have considered this if it weren’t that Michael and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) already had her over a barrel.
GH Spoilers Hint Opening Up is Hard to Do
Although Nina thinks she wants to tell Sonny the truth, it won’t be lost on her that she’ll have a hard enough time telling Ava what’s really going on.
Michael’s ploy to keep her away from Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) was hard enough, but having to get intel on ELQ to turn over to Ned is even more painful.
Scratch that. It’s nearly impossible — and Nina knows it. When she tells Ava what it is that Ned expects of her, it’s going to become glaringly clear to these ladies that the truth may be the only thing that sets Nina free.
Therein lies the rub though. It may truly set her free — and apart from everyone she loves. Telling Sonny the truth could get Nina iced out of his life — and everyone else’s — for good.
General Hospital Spoilers — It’s Too Late, Baby
Ava warned Nina a year ago to tell Sonny the truth before it was too late — and now that dreadful “too late” is upon her. Laying it all out for her bestie, Ava isn’t going to cut corners when telling her she can’t expect Sonny to forgive her at this juncture.
Is she right? Ava has predicted things fairly well thus far, and she does actually know Sonny to his core a bit better than Nina ever has.
