General Hospital Spoilers: Is Britt Westbourne Actually Sick? Let’s Examine the Evidence!
General Hospital spoilers reveal Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is positively desperate to get her hands on the meds that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) has been supplying to keep the symptoms of her Huntington’s Disease diagnosis at bay.
The few times she’s been late or gone without it have clearly proven to be a wake-up call for her, eliciting symptoms that she hopes to never experience again.
But the closer she inches toward completing her father’s research on cold fusion, the more she feels like the end is in sight when she is no longer of value to Sidwell and his sinister son. But few are questioning whether Britt is actually even sick, and if not, how she came to be convinced that she is.
Let’s Go Back to the Beginning
Back in May of 2021, Britt was hiding out in Canada with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) when she decided to get tested for the Huntington’s marker, knowing she had a 50/50 chance of inheriting it or not, based on her father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) having had the disease.
Britt revealed to Jason that she had been suffering from hand tremors, and suspected it was a sign of early symptoms creeping in that would eventually claim her life.
The test revealed she did have the marker, but many fans have suspected she doesn’t ever since her return to Port Charles.
GH Spoilers Say Sidwell is More Sinister Than We Ever Knew
Is it possible that Britt’s early symptoms were the result of her being slipped some kind of drugs and being totally unaware of it? When people like Sidwell and Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) are involved, anything is possible.
Furthermore, they could be drugging her now to maintain her symptoms, giving her something else that is sure to produce withdrawal effects if she doesn’t get regular doses.
That way, any time she is late or doesn’t comply and has her meds withheld, she’ll be reinforced to believe her symptoms are lurking beneath the surface, ready to rear their head if she doesn’t keep complying with their demands.
Britt Isn’t Lying
If this is true, it means Britt isn’t lying, and she’s not a part of the greater scheme these guys rolled out to bring Faison’s work to fruition.
She’s just an innocent bystander who got lured into their web against her will. When she died in her mother’s arms, she really thought she was dying. She doesn’t exactly want to go through that again if she can avoid it.
She wouldn’t be playing along with these guys if she felt it wasn’t self-sacrifice to make any other choice. So it appears they have her snowed and truly believing she is doomed to die of this debilitating disease if she doesn’t comply.
But what if they’ve been duping her right from the start? That’s the only way I see this working out where Britt isn’t dead in the near future due to Huntington’s, because GH isn’t typically keen on pretending to cure real diseases that the world still doesn’t have a solution for.
