General Hospital Spoilers: Finn Puts Chase on the Spot — Why Get Married?
General Hospital Spoilers spill Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) was elated to share the news with his family that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) had accepted his proposal.
They’re going to be married, and if we’re guessing, it’s going to happen sooner than later. When Chase presses Brook Lynn to pick a date, she’s not likely to be put off by his desire to make sure they are walking down the aisle while his father can still enjoy seeing his son get married. In fact, she’ll be more than understanding about it. It’s Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) who won’t be.
General Hospital Spoilers — Going to the Chapel
Brook Lynn is a Quartermaine, and with that comes the assumption that she’s been planning her wedding day for a very long time. She may have her hopes up that she gets at least a year to plan for the big day, but that’s not going to be in the cards if Chase gets his way.
Brook Lynn may not have any concerns that Chase proposed to her for any reason other than he loves her and wants to spend his life with her, but it might not look exactly that way to everyone else — especially the one person Chase starts to construct their wedding around.
GH Spoilers Gush Finn Grows Suspicious
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) can’t stand that his issues at the hospital — being sued for malpractice — are going to add more stress to his father’s life.
The last thing that a person with a degenerative illness like that needs is more to burden their mind. Finn may welcome Chase’s good news as an extra benefit that can lighten the load and the mood in their family, and that might only serve to encourage Chase to keep his father more involved in the process.
But spending more time with his dad and brother is only going to give Finn a front-row seat to see how much Chase wants this day to be special — for their father.
General Hospital Spoilers — Under Pressure
Sure, Chase does love Brook Lynn. Maybe he does want to spend his life with her — right now anyway. But would he have proposed if he hadn’t just become aware that his dad was dying?
Not wanting to see his father mentally erode over time right in front of him, he may be seeking to check off the list of important milestones he thought his dad would be around for — while he’s still around. Was Chase’s proposal sped up by the grim truth that his dad’s time with them is shorter than expected?
When Finn starts to believe so, addressing that elephant in the room might not be as easy as it sounds without sending up red flags for Chase’s bride-to-be.
