General Hospital spoilers reveal Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) was caught between a rock and a hard place when Laura Collins (Genie Francis) laid her eyes on Esme’s single red glove insisting she knew where she lost the other one.
Esme copped to having broken into Wyndemere, but she certainly wasn’t expecting Laura to suggest she needed to turn herself in for committing a crime.
The last thing Esme needs right now is a rap sheet or more shame to carry around, but Laura is intent on seeing her through the process.
Esme was flawless at delivering a quick response as to why she broke into the damp island manor. But that doesn’t mean Laura was as quick to believe her.
General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Tells a Tale
Esme is no novice when it comes to lying, and Laura doesn’t actually have a lot of experience with that version of Esme. So, she could be blinded by her naivete and willingness to tell the truth. But Laura is no rookie.
It’s more likely that she senses something is amiss and wants to figure out what it is that Esme is up to. In that case, urging her to turn herself in — knowing she will be interrogated to some extent — could be Laura’s way of putting pressure on Esme and figuring out if she really remembers anything.
GH Spoilers Hint This is a Test
If Esme is forced to answer repeated interrogations from the likes of Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), Laura will be waiting to observe for any errors made.
Will she trip up when leading them through how she spent her night on Christmas Eve? Might she let something slip that clues Laura in and alerts her to Esme’s awareness of past events that she shouldn’t be able to remember?
General Hospital Spoilers — What Comes Next?
If Laura does figure out that Esme remembers more than she is letting on, she may suspect that the best way to sniff out the truth is to give it time and let Esme blow up her own life.
Of course, she’ll be risking Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) in doing so, but Laura truly doesn’t believe Esme would ever want any harm to come to Ace.
In fact, while she’s a woman who supports the law, she also doesn’t particularly want to see Esme carted off to prison.
That would leave Ace in her and Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) care — and she doesn’t want to see Spencer default to trying to be Ace’s dad again.
But does Laura have the nerve to keep it to herself if she thinks Esme remembers everything she did in the past and knows she’s guilty of? Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
