Performing a second — and secret — paternity test was the quickest way to sniff out the truth once and for all, but Felicia may soon be pulled away from her hometown investigation for a much larger problem out of town.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has pressed her mother to stop worrying about Cody, but the more time she spends with him herself, the more she may come to have the same suspicions.

Left to her own devices, Maxie may have gone about confirming the truth another way that didn’t involve collecting Cody’s DNA, such as confronting him and demanding the truth.

Felicia knows better than to try to con a former con man though. When Maxie starts to realize how shifty Cody gets whenever Mac’s name is mentioned, her outlook may change.

It’s not just that Cody seems rattled by the mention of Mac’s name; it’s that he suspects Felicia has already shared her theory with Maxie. If she has, he knows that means they’re all dancing around the truth — the elephant in the room.

His discomfort exists because he knows he’s lying, and he knows his days to come clean may be numbered. Moreover, he doesn’t want to hurt or potentially lose them just because he lied for such self-serving reasons.
