It’s given her room to spread her wings in the music industry and she loves being able to both work and play with Chase. However, Chase hasn’t always seen things the same way. This has been more like a fun experiment for him, but he’s ready to get back to real life — something Brook Lynn finds unimaginable and loathsome. For that reason, she recently took Chase’s professional life into her own hands. Things were going fine, until he found out about it.

As he ducked aside from the mayhem just before Chase took the stage, Dante let Brook Lynn know she was essentially the only thing standing between Chase and his return to the PCPD. A letter of recommendation from her is all it would take. Brook Lynn pretended to be enthused but inside, she was crushed. Her music career was finally taking off, and it’s hitched to Chase’s. She couldn’t let him give it up, so she decided she couldn’t let him know there were other options either.

When Chase sits down with Dante, he’s going to confront him head-on about this letter Brook Lynn was supposed to write but hasn’t. As Dante reveals the truth to Chase, not knowing that Chase has no idea Brook Lynn was keeping such truth from him, it’ll come as a crushing blow. Chase was sure he was close to getting back on the force some time ago, and their reluctance to reach out made him think maybe it was going to take a lot longer than he had thought. To hear Dante say Brook Lynn was the only thing preventing him from getting back to work all of this time is going to floor Chase.
