General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Nina Will Have Bigger Competition Than Carly When Sonny’s First Wife Comes Back To Life
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is naive enough to believe Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is her only competition. It’s laughable to Carly, who isn’t the least bit interested in rekindling anything with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but Nina is the type to believe every woman is secretly after her man. Moreover, Nina feels threatened by how close Sonny and Carly are. Sony doesn’t see it as though he’s treating his girlfriend and his ex-wife any differently, but Nina sure does. She can’t stomach the intimacy Carly seems to share with her man. After all, Carly knows all about the inner world of the mob Sonny lives in which Nina is oblivious to. Nina doesn’t want to give in to her jealousy by jumping into that dangerous lifestyle, but she also doesn’t want Carly involved in it. She’s going to be so swept up in her focus on Carly that she won’t see what’s coming when someone else threatens her relationship with the mob master.

Carly and Sonny always seem to find their way back to one another, and it’s likely they will again someday. Right now isn’t that time, though. Carly has moved on from the drama Sonny brought into her life when he came back from the grave. She’s in love with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and wants to keep going in that direction. Speaking of coming back from the grave, Sonny knows exactly how Carly felt when she thought she lost him. He’s been there. Everyone remembers the great love story between Carly and Sonny, which is off again and back on again every few years. However, Sonny was married to someone else before he ever met Carly. His first wife, Lily Corinthos (Lilly Melgar), was killed in an explosion when she got into a car meant for him that was planted with a bomb. The culprit? Lily’s father, Hernando Rivera (Ismael ‘East’ Carlo) — hated Sonny with a passion. Word on the street is Lily may be headed back to Port Charles when she hears her son is in trouble.
Who is Dex Heller?
Yes, her son. Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) came onto the scene last year as a private contractor Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) conveniently hired to take Sonny down. Sound familiar? Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) might be suspicious about Dex’s involvement with Sonny because he reminds him of himself. Finding out they share DNA and that Dex is the full-grown child Lily was pregnant with when she was allegedly killed might have something to do with that, too. How will Nina feel if she has to start competing with the first woman Sonny ever wanted to spend his life with? Is there a reason he mentioned Lily to Nina this week?
