General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Maxie Makes It Her Mission To Transform Cody Into My Fair Gentleman
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will make it her mission to transform Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) into my fair gentleman, so to speak. But chances are, she’s got a bigger job ahead of her than Professor Henry Higgins did with Eliza Doolittle in “My Fair Lady”.
General Hospital Spoilers – A Perfect Mismatch
Previous GH episodes revealed that Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) came clean to Maxie about his being behind the Society Setups matchmaking app, and he told her the matchmaker’s a figurehead. Zelda Telesco (Kristen Carey) works for him, not the other way around; but he engineered that perfect match between Cody and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) that turned out a disaster. Maxie knows that perfect mismatch could tank Spinelli’s successful matchmaking career in a heartbeat, especially since Britt’s threatened to sue, and they share a child; she’s got to do something.
Fashionista Maxie decides to come to Spinelli’s rescue by giving Cowboy Cody a badly needed makeover and a redo, but will he bite? Britt had already reamed him out for trying to impress her by being someone she knew he wasn’t, but he wants another chance with her so badly.
General Hospital Updates – Fashionista To The Rescue
Cody might take all the help that he can get, even if it turns out to be a redneck “Pygmalion” story – he says, that’s a horse, not a “pyg”. Maxie sees she has a lot of work ahead of her when Cody doesn’t know what the original work “My Fair Lady” was based on, or the play and movie. This is one uncultured dude, so she starts with teaching him some manners, beginning with opening doors and seating the ladies when out to eat. Then she rethinks her protocol, realizing some women would take that behavior as an affront, telling Cody to let the woman give the cues before he acts. Cody tells her to thank you ‘ma’am, he thinks he’s got that part down; she tells him modern women don’t like being called “ma’am”.
General Hospital Spoilers – On To Clothes
Now Fashionista Maxie gives some clothing advice; she realizes Cody probably doesn’t have money for a new wardrobe and shoes, but she can probably find some to loan him. Her work with Crimson Magazine gave her sources to find some wardrobe and shoes that will work just fine to impress Britt, he doesn’t have to come off as fake. He just needs to wear something that would be more appropriate in an office or a nice restaurant than in a barn or at a rodeo.
And on the subject of nice restaurants, he should have made their first date in a nice restaurant or even at a movie. Surely the Quartermaines let him have some time off; he didn’t have to bring Britt to work.
But She Won’t Talk To Me
Cody tells Maxie he’s not sure that Britt will even talk to him, let alone go out on another date with him. Maxie tells him not to worry, she’ll take care of everything. She’ll figure out some way for the two to cross paths unintentionally, or at least that is what Britt will think. She wants Britt to see Cody in a whole new light, a whole new way, hoping to give her an impression that will wow her. Maxie wants this impression to make Britt forget about and make up for all the previous bad ones; she knows it’s a long shot, but hopes it will work.
