General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Carly Puts Brando In Danger, Cyrus Suspects He’s Report To Her

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) might have put a target on Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) back when she mouthed off to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in a recent episode of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Could Only Have Gotten Her Information From Brando Corbin

General Hospital viewers will recall that Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) learned that his mother, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) had been the “eyewitness” who saw Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) drop a gun down a laundry chute after coming out of Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) art studio. Brando and Gladys were having lunch at Kelly’s after seeing Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) together. Gladys stayed with Sasha while Brando took Michael aside and told him that Gladys had been the “eyewitness” and to tell whoever needed to know.

While this was taking place at Kelly’s, Carly and Cyrus were having an argument at the Metro Court after he had come up to her when she was talking on the phone to Attorney Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to offer his “condolences” for Jason’s arrest! She had been talking to Diane about Jason’s upcoming trial, and she told him in not so many words to put his condolences “where the sun don’t shine!” Cyrus then explained that he didn’t know who he should reach out to with “business” matters since Jason is “indisposed”. He tells Carly he knows Jason had called a meeting of the five families but worries (threatens) what might happen with Jason not there at the meeting.

The five families may smell blood water and a chance to take over Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurce Benard) territory – or should he consider Carly as taking Jason’s place as the head of the Corinthos crime family? Just then, Michael called and told Carly about Gladys. As soon as she is done on the phone, she mouths off to Cyrus about putting Gladys up to framing Jason, and thinks Cyrus is there to make Carly an offer she can’t refuse! Cyrus retorts that Gladys is an old lady, and she may have mistaken what she saw and recant her story, sighing what a relief that would be, just like if his mother was returned to him! Carly could see where he was going with that and believed they understood each other.

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Could Have Only Gotten That Information From Brando Corbin

Cyrus knows that Gladys wouldn’t tell Carly that Cyrus paid her for her false testimony about Jason, but she might tell her son that she was doing her civic duty by telling the authorities what she “saw”! She wouldn’t tell Carly anything for that matter, since her identity as the eyewitness was kept secret by the Port Charles Police Department as a condition of her testimony, and also for her safety. Cyrus deduces that Gladys would only have told Brando anything if he had figured it out and confronted her with it, which means that as he had suspected, Brando is a plant by the Corinthos family to get intel on him and his dealings!

That is one reason he doesn’t let Brando do anything except drive his car, since Brando didn’t want to be his hit man! But Cyrus likely hopes that Brando will inadvertently give him intel on the Corinthos family and Jason too, or he would have had him disposed of long ago! Brando is the only source of this information about his mother being the eyewitness, and he had to have been reporting back to Carly since Jason is “unavailable”! There is a good chance that Carly, with her big mouth, has now put a target on Brando’s back because Cyrus now has the proof that Brando is a plant!
