General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Cameron Mathison Begins Filming ‘The Christmas Farm’
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveals Cameron Mathison, who plays Drew Cain, has begun filming his new GAC Family Holiday movie. Production began May 4th on his new project which also stars Jill Wagner.
General Hospital – The Christmas Farm Log Lines
General Hospital’s Cameron is a farmhand named Dylan in the GAC film. Wagner plays a marketing executive named Janie who is living in the Big Apple. Janie returns to her hometown of Woodland Falls when her great-uncle Randall dies. Janie is surprised to learn that Randall has left her the family farm, her childhood home. Randall’s final request is that Janie hosts the Woodland Falls’ annual Winter Wonderland.
Janie isn’t sure what to do with the farm after this. Janie also meets Dylan, who her uncle arranged to help her with the winter wonderland. Janie is further confused by the feelings she develops while living this more authentic way of life. Meanwhile, Janie’s boyfriend who is back in the city is anxiously awaiting her return to Manhattan. Does Dylan offer Janie more of what she needs out of life?
General Hospital – Cameron Matheson Likes Being The Romantic Lead
General Hospital’s Cameron likes playing the lead in GAC’s Christmas movies. After all, Drew’s love life is slim to none since his return from Cassadine Island. Drew lost Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) before he left town to return the money he had found in his son’s car.
Drew lost Liz Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) when she lied to him about his supposed identity. Will Drew ever find happiness in Port Charles? Is Drew destined to be a lonely businessman instead of building a new family of his own?
General Hospital – Cameron Matheson’s Extensive Career
General Hospital’s Cameron has a lot of other jobs before joining the GH cast. Matheson has been a correspondent for both Good Morning America and Entertainment Tonight. Matheson has starred in Hallmark Movies for several years. Matheson has also begun starring in GAC movies both romantic and holiday, as well. Mathison was very upset when he learned of the cancellation of Hallmarks Home and Family. However, Matheson has been through some major struggles as well.
A few years ago, Matheson was diagnosed with renal cancer, surgery, and recovery. Matheson also lost his mother to brain cancer as well.
Matheson fans are very happy to have him on General Hospital although some would have loved him to be Ryan Lavery Matheson’s AMC character) to keep the connection to Duke Lavery (ex-Ian Buchanan). However, Mathison has won most fans over as Drew Cain as well. We wish Cameron all the best with his new movie and look forward to seeing it when GAC’s “Great American Christmas” debuts on October 28, 2022.
