General Hospital (GH) Spoiler: Sonny and Jason’s Relationship May Be Permanently Damaged
General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease once Mike regains his memory and returns home to his family, he will be making some adjustments. One major change will be the dynamic he has with his enforcer because they can never recapture the way they were.
Sonny and Jason cannot go back in time
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is closer now than ever to getting his memory back. When he returns to Port Charles both he and his loved ones must make several necessary adjustments. One situation that will not go back to business as usual is his relationship with his mob enforcer. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) had to step up from being a ‘handler” and begin running the Corinthos organization. He is also planning on marrying Sonny’s “widow” Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to prove they are on one accord.
Sonny and Jason cannot hit a reset button and go back in time. They must face all the changes that have taken place during the past year head-on. Sonny thinks he is Mike and is falling for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and last week Jason tried to kiss Carly who pulled away but has now decided she wants a real marriage rather than one of convenience.
Too little too late
Once Sonny returns to Port Charles he and Jason will find it awkward moving forward basically because of Carly and Nina. Guilt and uncertainty will hinder the friendship and could also prove to be dangerous. The heads of the five families are not going to give Sonny a pass and allow him time to heal so there will still be the issue of who is in charge. It is not as simple as Jason stepping back and Sonny taking charge again because of all that has happened while he believed he was Mike. Spoilers tease that there may be permanent damage to the relationship between Sonny Corinthos and Jason Morgan and many GH viewers agree.
