General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that the actress who was beloved on ABC’s GH as part of the teen scene is now an adult with a role on a streaming service. She is eager for her fans to see her in her new series.
General Hospital Spoilers – The Original Emily Quartermaine
The character Emily Quartermaine was originated by Amber Tamblyn on January 20, 1995, and the actress left the ABC soap on July 11, 2001. Emily was adopted by Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) and his wife Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). Monica, a breast cancer survivor was friends with Emily’s mom who succumbed to the disease. Tamblyn was replaced by Natalia Livingston.
General Hospital Updates – Tamblyn’s New Gig On FX On Hulu
Tamblyn left General Hospital to pursue other projects which include the television series House and Joan of Arcadia and the film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The actress told Soap Opera Digest that she has a role in Y: The Last Man on the new FX on the Hulu streaming service. She says her husband David Cross is a big fan of the comic book and is excited that she is a part of the show.
General Hospital Spoilers – Tamblyn Portrays A Flawed Character
In Y: The Last Man Tamblyn plays Kimberly whose entire family her husband, three children, and her father all die in the pilot episode. This causes Kimberly to develop a strong desire for power and Tamblyn says she cannot wait until her character emerges.

Amber was born onMay 14, 1983 to Russ and Bonnie Tamblin. Her father is an actor and dancer who was in the film Peyton Place. He also starred in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Westside Story where he showed off his fancy footwork. Tamblyn has often said how much she admires her famous father. Y: The Last Man premiered on September 23 and airs Monday nights on Hulu.
