General Hospital spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will open up to his fiancée Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about his tryst with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) in an upcoming episode of General Hospital!

Anna Devane Has Been Probing Finn About Why He Is So Uncomfortable With His Father

General Hospital viewers will recall that Anna has been gently probing Finn about why he is so uncomfortable with his father. It is starting to get better, and it seems that Finn and Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) have started to bond just a little bit over Violet Finn (Jophielle Love). Finn was once uncomfortable with his much younger brother Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) as well, but that has become a much more brotherly relationship over time. Chase has been thrilled, as he always wanted to have a relationship with his big brother.

When Jackie came to town, she and Finn had a private talk about their past, revealing that Finn and she had a one night stand the night before she and his father married. Apparently while dating Finn, she was also involved with Gregory but the elder Chase never knew. It is starting to seem that Finn’s discomfort and estrangement from his father stems from Finn’s guilt about this one night stand much more than Jackie marrying Gregory so soon after Finn’s mother, Jean Chase (uncast character) passed away.

This may also be the reason for his past refusal to have a relationship with his younger brother as well! In a preview of an upcoming episode for Monday, December 21 Finn and his father are shown having a discussion about why Finn refused to attend Gregory and Jackie’s wedding. It looks like a very serious discussion. Gregory posits a question about why Finn didn’t attend, and it appears to be with an assumption of the reason. Finn tells him that’s not why he didn’t attend.

Finn likely does not tell the whole truth to his father, but he will to Anna. A factor that may be making Finn even more uncomfortable is the news that Jackie and Gregory are getting divorced. Chase had told Finn previously, and Gregory confirmed it. But the divorce plans did not seem to materialize until after Jackie’s first visit to Port Charles, after which she had to leave town to cover an important story. Gregory and Jackie had both used the reason of Jackie’s frequent work trips to explain their growing apart. But Finn is likely troubled and concerned that his and Jackie’s talk about their tryst might be the real reason Jackie wants the divorce from Gregory!

Finn and Anna sit down for a heart-to-heart discussion about the matter. Anna knows there is more to the story than what Finn has told her previously. His explanation has always been that Gregory moved on too fast after Jean died. Now that Anna has witnessed Greg and Finn together, as well as Greg, Finn and Chase, she has more of a window into the family dynamic. Anna’s super spy skills go into full drive and she confronts Finn about the real reason for the dysfunction. Finn opens up and tells her the whole truth.

Greg’s moving on so soon after his mother’s death did play into it, but that’s not the whole story. He explains how he was already in a hospital residency program that Jackie was doing a story on and that they had actually met in a bar across the street for several months. They became closer and they realized they had a strong attraction between them, which culminated in their giving into their passions the night before she and Greg married! Anna is a bit shocked at Finn’s confession and understands why he is uncomfortable! She also agrees that in some cases, things are simply better left unsaid!
