General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Sonny Blasts Nikolas, How Could He Do This To His Own Son?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will blast Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma)! Secrets will come out about how Nikolas betrayed his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Sonny won’t like it.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Is Spencer Cassadine’s Uncle

Longtime viewers should remember that Sonny’s sister, Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis) was Spencer’s mother, making Sonny his uncle. Spencer was born when Courtney had contracted encephalitis, and she died giving birth to him, yet Spencer received frequent ghostly visits from her as a child. Spencer feels close to her even though he was too young to remember her, and that’s why it’s important for him to visit her grave and put flowers on it.

After Nikolas faked his death when Spencer was around ten years old, Valentin Cassadine, (James Patrick Stuart) first come to Port Charles, and tried to take him. Sonny intervened and took Spencer away from Valentin, even though in fact he may have meant no harm.

General Hosptial Updates – Nina Reeves May Reveal What Ava Cassadine Told Her

There’s a good chance that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will reveal what Spencer’s stepmother, Ava Cassadine (Maura West) told her about her breakup. That will be the way that Sonny will find out that not only did Nikolas have an affair with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) he slept with his son’s girlfriend. Nikolas cheating with Elizabeth-only a cover story to conceal Esmé Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) pregnancy is bad enough, sleeping with Esmé was heinous. Sonny is finding this out several months after the fact but even though Spencer and Esmé have been long broken up he knows how much it must have hurt his nephew. He’ll soon find out Esmé has gone missing again, when Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) asks for his help with a family matter.

Sonny Corinthos Never Liked Nikolas Cassadine

Sonny never liked Nikolas, and that goes way back to when he was involved with Courtney. He’s tolerated him because of his longtime friendship with his mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), and his relationship with her and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan). Sonny was angry when Nikolas first came back to Port Charles, having let Spencer think he was dead for over five years, and he blasted him for that too.

But to have slept with Spencer’s girlfriend, whether they are still together or not, is a new low even for Nikolas. Sonny puts Nikolas on notice not to mess with his nephew or ever hurt him like that again, and he means very serious business.
