General Hospital News Update: GL Alum Vanessa Marcil Is Schooling Parents On How To Apologize To Their Kids
ABC General Hospital spoilers reveal that alum Vanessa Marcil (Brenda Barrett) is doing her part to encourage parents everywhere. “We’ve got this!” the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress enthused to those in the parenting ranks.
She recently posted an in-depth, heartfelt post on Instagram addressing the challenges that moms and dads face on a daily basis.
Marcil has an 18-year-old son, Kassius, with her former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Brian Austin Green.
General Hospital Spoilers – Vanessa Marcil Posted Some Intense Thoughts To Parents Everywhere
She began by addressing her own experiences: “I’ve made so many mistakes as a mother. What can we do about it? A lot.”
She urged fans to, “take responsibility. Sit our kids down and tell them we are sorry. Let them be mad at us for as long as they need to be. Tell them we will do better and then work on ourselves.”

She added, “Cause when we know better, we have the choice to then do better by them. Take the focus off of critiquing them and worry about healing ourselves. That change will trickle down to their children and then for generations to come.”
It’s hard to disagree with Marcil who makes some excellent points. She ended, “Say you are sorry today to your children and mean it. We’ve got this!”

General Hospital Spoilers – Will Brenda Barrett Ever Return To Port Charles?
Earlier this year Marcil documented her son’s high school graduation on social media and more recently she shared poignant thoughts about Kassius, writing, “I know every mother can understand how I feel when I say that my son is my greatest accomplishment, and at the same time, I can take almost no credit for the incredible human being that he is.”
She noted that even at his young age he has, “experienced more loss than any 18-year-old should ever know this early in life.” She added that he has bravely faced his trials with strength and courage. We are all going through an incredible time in history at the moment and it’s refreshing to see Marcil reach out to others in support.
Will her character Brenda Barrett ever return to Port Charles? Millions of fans have not lost hope that someday the spunky character will make an appearance and we will keep you posted if we hear any news to that effect!
