Laura will be busy and will be involved in Trina’s (Tabyaan Ali) trial but could a situation cause her to have to rush and leave town? Spoilers tease that Laura will be concerned about leaving her family in order to tend to her mother later this month.
General Hospital Spoilers – Genie Francis Soap History
Genie Francis joined the show back in 1977. She is one of the most beloved actresses on the show and just recently as the show marked a great milestone, they focused on Genie’s character. In June, General Hospital aired its 15,000th episode with a focus on Laura for their special episode. The show will be celebrating another milestone next year in April as they mark 60 years on the air.
It was last year that Genie had taken a Summer vacation from the show. At that time she told TV Insider, “I’ve had such a fun time on GH, and I’ve absolutely loved what the writers gave me to work with this season. And, there are some really great storylines planned for the fall – but for now, I’ve decided to take the summer off. I am very much looking forward to spending the time with my family and relaxing a bit. I promise, though, I will be back to Port Charles before you know it.”
General Hospital Updates – Something Is Wrong With Laura Collins Mom
With Spoilers teasing that something could be up with Laura’s mother and her considering leaving town to tend to her, we can’t help but wonder if Genie would be proceeding on another Summer vacation.
The role of Laura’s mother, Lesley Webber is played by Denise Alexander. She has been with the show since 1973. The last time fans saw Lesley on the show was in February 2021.

Yes it's all good for her to have family and friends time.She's a wonderful person and we will miss her but knowing she will be back on the fall is great...I wish her good ,loving,safe times...
Totally agree. She will be missed over the Summer but just knowing she is returning makes it OK….lol!
