GH’s Kelly Thiebaud Hilarious Meltdown With Van Hansis

General Hospital (GH) star Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) from the ABC daytime show got her fans laughing on Tuesday this week when she appeared to have a meltdown. Read on to find out what happened.

Van Hansis Walks Into A Storm

Kelly took to her Instagram and shared a reel that seemed obviously a skit, and sharp-eyed GH fans saw that in the background was a cardboard cutout of herself. But that wasn’t the joke.

First, the door opened and in came Van Hansis (Dr. Lucas Jones). He didn’t really have time to say anything because Thiebaud, who was sitting on a chair by a small table reading a script, threw a giant fit.

Shredding the Script

For good effect, the voiceover came low and dark, and she said, “Whenever you come in here and interrupt me, you’re breaking my concentration.”

She clutched her script and hissed, “You’re distracting me!” Then she started tearing the pages, while ranting, “It will then take time to get back to where I was.”

Flinging the papers down, she bugged her eyes out and yelled, “Do you understand?”

Retreat Was Best

Stunned, Van Hansis made palms-up, peaceful gestures as some papers were thrown at him, and got out of there looking suitably chastised.

In her caption, Kelly Thiebaud had written, “And this is why nothing gets done around here.” But she did tag it with #buddies, so obviously the actors were just joking.

Fans React

General Hospital fans were quick to pick up on the joke because, as Soap Opera Digest reminds readers, after Lucas helped Britt obtain the Huntington’s medication she needed, they developed into a snarky, teasing friendship rather than the old hostility.

One person wrote, “I know that face. Reminds me of some healthy brother/sister conflict from back in the day.”

That got a reaction from Thiebaud, who posted a whole row of laughing faces.
