GH’s Kayden Tokarski Teases Maurice Benard State Of Mind Interview

It looks like General Hospital (GH) fans are in for a treat because Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) and Kayden Tokarski, who replaced Cosette Abinante as Scout on the ABC show, sat down for an interview on State of Mind.

A Small Preview

From an Instagram post by Kayden Tokarski, jointly shared by Maurice Benard, it appears that the interview on State of Mind hasn’t yet aired, but has already been recorded.

When Kayden shared the news, she revealed a clip where Maurice Benard said, “She was so incredible because the mental health [chat] with a 17-year-old was one of the best I’ve ever had.”

Later, Kayden chimed in, saying, “It was an honor of a lifetime.” And then she laughed and thanked Maurice Benard as he gave her a hug.

The hint that General Hospital fans will see it soon came in Kayden’s caption. She wrote:

What a beautiful way to start off this weekend! It was an honor of a lifetime chatting with the one and only @mauricebenard on @mbstateofmind Thank you so much for having me! 🙏 Please stay tuned…

Kayden On The Show

On the show, fans are still getting to know Kayden Brenna Tokarski because she debuted in July as an aged-up Scout. The storyline continues, with her as the daughter of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and the late Sam McCall.

Of course, Maurice Benard and Kayden know each other because they act in GH together. While they haven’t recently shared screen time together, they are connected via tension between Drew and Sonny because he wants to keep Scout well away from him.

A Good Fit For State of Mind?

Although we don’t yet know what Maurice and Kayden talked about on State of Mind, she might be a very good fit for the podcast.

When she’s not acting, she works as a youth ambassador for the Breaking the Chains Foundation. It’s a nonprofit that uses art and creative expression to fight stigma around mental health and body image.

Fans React

In the comments section, GH fans seemed excited about the podcast. One follower told Kayden Tokarski, “So jealous! But so happy you had this opportunity Sweetheart.”

Here are a few more responses from the discussion:

  • “So amazing K and can’t wait to see this!!!”
  • “You’re the goat Kayden!!! ❤️❤️💝 💞 I CANNOT wait to see you take over the entertainment industry and shine like the superstar you were born to be.”
  • “What a great interview this will be…Can’t wait to see it!”

While it’s unclear when the interview will drop, State of Mind followers know that new episodes are generally released on Sundays. So, we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for it.
