‘Holy Detective!’ Jonathan Bennett Has GH Fans Thirsting Over New Reel

General Hospital (GH) fans saw Jonathan Bennett join the ABC soap in May this year as Detective Joe Fitzpatrick, and this weekend, followers were reacting to “Detective FLEXpatrick.” Read on to find out why.

The Pool Scene

General Hospital fans who follow Jonathan Bennett on Instagram often see him shirtless and looking very fit. And they saw him on the show without his shirt as well.

Cue August 7, when Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) went to the PCPD pool to check out the new detective, Joe Fitzpatrick, who was swimming laps.

While Anna was sizing him up as a detective, many fans might have enjoyed seeing his lean torso as they discussed his move from NYC to Port Charles.

While Frank Valentini had said the team was “excited to have Jonathan” in the cast of GH, a recent reel revealed there were other reasons why ABC fans appreciated him as well.

The Thirst Trap

On Instagram on Sunday, Jonathan Bennett shared a reel of himself in the gym. In it, he wore short pants, a green vest, and trainers, and did a whole lot of flexing.

The overlay said, “I won’t tell you when they write me more shirtless scenes on GH, but there will be signs.”

Set to the music of “Yummy Little Day,” he worked out and in his caption, he wrote, “Looks like Detective Joe will be fighting crime and carbs for a while.” Then he tagged @generalhospitalabc.

Troy Jokes With Jonathan

One of the first cast members to comment was Troy Lennon Appel, who plays newcomer Hudson on the daytime soap. Impressed with those abs, he joked, “Bro can you not, my wife is on this app.”

Other followers soon started dropping jokes about Detective Joe’s strong physique. Here’s one of them: “Detective FLEXpatrick 🔥💪🏻.”
