General Hospital Spoilers: Is Peter August Back to Harm or Help Anna Devane?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that just when Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) thought it was safe to go back in the water, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) appeared like a venomous shark.
During the July 2 episode fans were shocked to see Peter in Anna’s clinic vestibule. What gives? Let’s break down this spooky conundrum GH fans!
Anna’s Head Case
Anna is coming home soon but in what shape? The show has intimated that she returns to PC with lethal intentions and certainly the specter of Peter seems to confirm that.
Fans are intrigued by what the show has planned for the summer and a spicy preview seems to be setting up a scintillating story for the near future.
Anna & Peter
Peter appeared from 2017 until his death in 2022 after Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) killed him with a tire iron.
She did so to protect Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and while Anna witnessed the crime she did not save him although she made sure he was a goner.
Peter August’s Unexpected Return
Peter and his father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), appeared to Anna as hallucinations earlier this year in her captivity at Wyndemere.
During that time she was drugged, thus the hallucinations she experienced.
In France Anna recently convinced Felicia that Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevy) was masquerading as Nathan West (Ryan Paevy).
This seemed like a positive step forward for Anna, but the sight of Peter is a frightening reminder that Anna could still be unwell.
Is Peter Haunting Anna?
Interestingly enough, GH head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten previously hinted that Anna would return back home with “deadly intentions” while being influenced by an unreliable source.
Now it seems that Peter could be the unstable narrator feeding Anna’s unconscious.
Anna’s New Beginning?
Things were looking so well for Anna. Does the appearance of Peter signal a deeply rooted problem with her psyche?
If so we have to worry about her loved ones, as well as her own safety. Felicia apologized to Anna for doubting her, and her therapist released her to return to PC.
