General Hospital spoilers reveal Portia’s brother Deke getting deeper involved with Jordan, but off-screen he already felt familiar when he arrived on the PC scene.
General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Has An Intriguing New Family Member
Earlier this year, fans were taken with Gavin Houston when he made an appearance as Deke Robinson, Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) brother. He arrived for Portia and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) wedding and disappeared before his sister gained and lost a husband all in one day.
His short appearance was so well-received that GH brought him back and he now has a storyline. He is in town to represent Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in his mess with the SEC. Before he could even have his first meeting with Drew, he found Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), a woman he didn’t meet his first time in town. Jordan was smarting over learning Curtis had moved back in with Portia and she and Zeke had sex in his Metro Court room without her even knowing he was related to Portia. However, she soon found out.
Gavin Houston’s GH Reunion
Playing Zeke is not Houston’s first go-around with GH and not his first go-around on soaps either. In 2010, he made a brief appearance as a forensics analyst named Sly, but before that he had the contract role of Remy on the now-defunct Guiding Light. When he was there, he became friends with Laura Wright who plays Carly Spencer. At the time, she was GL’s Cassie Layne.
“It was amazing to see her again,” he told Soap Opera Digest. “She was like, ‘You’re back! Yay’’ It’s so crazy, because she knew me when I was probably 24 or 25 — and she’s exactly the same person! It was like we just continued right where we left off. We always got along so well and she’s so much fun.”
Zeke and Carly are bound to cross paths considering that she is the other defendant in this SEC case and the last we heard, Drew was willing to plead guilty and go to jail just to save Carly. Will Zeke be able to talk Drew out of making that mistake or offer Carly some better legal advice than Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy)? Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how this story plays out.
