General Hospital Spoilers: With Fertility Problems Galore, What Does Molly and T.J.’s Future Look Like?
General Hospital spoilers reveal Molly Lansing Davis (Holiday Mia Kriegel) isn’t coping well with the news that her diagnosis of severe endometriosis may complicate her ability to ever have children of her own with her domestic partner, T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow). While T.J. isn’t quick to reassure Molly that none of this is her fault, she’s not ready to explore her reality beyond the loss she is feeling as she grieves the life she thought she and T.J. were going to have. Eventually, however, Molly will be ready to discuss what a family will look like for them, and how they will get there. What are their options? T.J. will be ready, willing, and able to discuss them as soon as she is, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to agree on every potential path to parenthood.
General Hospital Spoilers — Adoption is an Option
T.J. would be open to the idea of adoption, but it’s likely that Molly is already going to feel like she has robbed him of so much. While she might take some time to stop blaming herself for leaving her menstrual problems on the backburner and not seeking treatment, she may not want to rub salt in the wound by annexing T.J.’s sperm from the deal just because her eggs may not be viable.
Of course, that’s something to explore first, ideally. But as a last resort, they would both likely be open to adoption. Let’s be honest, they’d end up adopting someone who is somehow linked to Port Charles and grows up to find out they are related via a cousin who had a secret baby and gave it up for adoption, right?
GH Spoilers Hint Egg Examination
The first step is likely having a full fertility workup beyond what Molly has already done. It’s wise that T.J. gets himself checked out, too, but we’re betting he’s going to get the all clear since the storyline is so heavily leaning toward more of a guilt trip than a journey toward motherhood for Molly. The first step would be harvesting her eggs. If they’re viable, in vitro fertilization is an option for Molly and T.J. to have a child — whether she carries the baby or not.
General Hospital Spoilers — Full Stop at Surrogacy
Of course, it’s possible Molly won’t be able to carry a pregnancy, even if it is her own child. In that case, they would need a surrogate. It’s also possible that her eggs may not be viable and that they would need an egg donor and a surrogate — which don’t necessarily need to be the same woman. Will Molly call on one of her sisters to be their surrogate, and if so, will the other feel jilted? We all know Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has a pretty busy life now with her own kids — not to mention she has a partner, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Kristina Coritnhos Davis (Kate Mansi) is far more available for such an adventure, but she might feel rejected if she’s still not their ideal pick, for obvious reasons. It sounds like a lot of drama lurks ahead for this family. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
