General Hospital Spoilers: Was Austin’s Murder A Mob Message To Cyrus?
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murder could have been a mob message to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
This would have to be an enemy who knows Austin was working for Cyrus, and that they at one time were close-Cyrus paid for his medical school.
General Hospital Spoilers: Someone’s Been Following Austin Gatlin-Holt
Someone’s been following Austin, and it looks like the hit man is someone he knew-perhaps someone who’d previously worked for Cyrus who defected to another mob entity.
This person apparently hung out at the hospital and followed him as far as the police station and then went to his house, where he must have picked the lock.
Cyrus may be trying to fool everyone into thinking that he’s made a change for the good, but he was acting the prison preacher long before his heart attack.
More than likely, Austin and Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) were still part of his mob business, although Austin was a reluctant one. Whoever went after Austin may have been sent not by Cyrus, but by one of his mob enemies.
GH Spoilers: Killing Two Birds With One Stone?
Cyrus’ enemy may have wanted to kill two birds with one stone by framing Cyrus for Austin’s murder-even though there will be many suspects, Ava Jerome (Maura West) for one.
It wouldn’t be Mason, although he may have thought of it-he’s already in the holding area of Pentonville Prison awaiting trial-Mason doesn’t have the pull needed to call a hit.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will also come under suspicion, since he’s a known associate of Ava’s and has a child with her, but he wouldn’t have ordered Austin killed.
He knows Cyrus is the head of the snake and he’d have ordered a hit on Cyrus, not just threatened him publicly that he’d take him down.
General Hospital Spoilers: A Message Of Explanation Will Come
If this was someone in a mob feud with Cyrus, a message of explanation will come-and Cyrus will find out that if there’s a next time, it’ll be him!
Austin was left on the floor with two bullets in his chest and no chance of survival, the killer made sure he was dead before he left. Considering the guy didn’t use a silencer and wore dress shoes and what appeared to be dress pants, it may not have been a hit man, but the head guy.
If Sonny’s overheard giving Cyrus that threatening warning at the Port Charles Grille, then Cyrus’ enemy has a readymade fall guy. Sonny’s an easy target to frame for anything mob-related, and this new territorial usurper would know that!
