GH spoilers reveal that Anna was going to marry Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). However, she ended up losing him during Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) exposure. Even though Finn eventually forgave her, they wouldn’t reconcile. The relationship was over, but the co-head writers teased that Anna would get a new love story. Stuart spoke to Soap Opera Digest to discuss the blossoming romance. He called it a rare slow-boil, which he loves about the storyline. He also noted the stark contrast between this relationship and the one Valentin had with Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros).
Valentin Cassadine: Then And Now
General Hospital spoilers reveal that this isn’t the first time Valentin and Anna had a potential romance. When explaining the difference between their younger days and now that they are older, the actor explained that it doesn’t have to be an obsession anymore. In fact, he made it clear that it’s a different relationship.
“They’re not kids any longer, and it’s not out of his control anymore — his feelings aren’t beyond hiim. Anna and Valentin’s early life was an obsession, but it doesn’t have to be that way anymore. It’s a different relationship and so I think it can still be a slow burn, despite the fact that they have kissed each other.”

Stuart is really enjoying this storyline and says that Hughes is as well. The actor called Valentin and Anna’s budding romance “authentic.” He also explained that both characters are older, more mature and further along in their lives. Both characters have gone through changes and have evolved into who they are now.
With that being said, no soap romance is smooth sailing. There will be problems, complications and obstacles that come up. However, “Vanna” fans are hoping that their love can overcome any challenge they face.
