General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Will Help Ava, But Will He “Save” Austin, Too?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will soon learn about Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) secret and her involvement with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey). He’ll likely help her out of this sticky situation, especially since there’s a threat against Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).
As Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) is involved in this mess, will Sonny help him out of his “situation”, too?
GH Spoilers: Austin Gatlin-Holt Is A Complicated Character
Austin is an interesting character. When he first arrived in Port Charles, he seemed like a good guy, especially as he bonded with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and during his relationship with Maxie Jones (Kristen Storms).
Still, the entire debacle at Wyndemere and his connection to Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) “death” and disappearance, as changed this view for many fans. There are times when he’s seemed shady, even “creepy”. This may be to throw viewers off, as storylines are continually evolving, but it’s hard for GH audiences to gauge whether or not Dr. Austin is a villain or a hero.
GH Spoilers: Could Sonny & Austin Become Friends?
Sonny is currently very skeptical of Austin. He’s always got walls up when it comes to newcomers, and protecting his family, including the mother of his children, is always his number one priority. At the end of the day, Austin could be acting “sketchy” out of fear. He’s obviously afraid of any repercussions associated with not following Mason’s orders, and he could be coercing Ava simply to save his own skin (and hers).
Corinthos will fight the threat that is plaguing Ava, which may mean bringing Mason down or eliminating him altogether. If Sonny can do this successfully, he won’t only be “saving” Avery’s mom, but in many ways, the doctor too. Once Mason is gone, will the threat be completely gone? That’s hard to say, but if Austin truly opens up to Sonny and offers him intel to not only bring Mason to his knees but also whoever is behind his orders, the two men might be able to find common ground. Could they bond in the process, as well?
