General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will have flashbacks soon on the ABC soap.
It seems she will remember something about having given birth to twins, or being told one died-now the question is, did Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) sell baby Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey)?
There May Be More To The Story Of Giving Nathan To Madeline To Raise
Something obviously happened between the time Liesl became pregnant with her youngest child-or children, as the case recently has been revealed to be.
Even though Liesl was still clearly obsessed with Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) when she first came to Port Charles, she gave a son, then grown, to her sister to protect him. She even claimed Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) was Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy).
But it looks like there may be more to the story of giving baby Nathan to Madeline to raise, now that a twin, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) has been revealed.
Madeline indeed raised Nathan-but considering what she did with her daughter Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) twins, did she sell baby Cassius?
Britt Apparently Found Out About Cassius After Being “Dead” For Several Years
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) who is several years older than her brother- make that brothers-didn’t learn about Cassius until she was “drafted” into the Five Poppies.
Strangely, Liesl never mentioned Nathan had a twin either-she has seemed totally unaware another baby boy existed. So it stands to reason that something must have happened to Liesl similarly to what happened to Nina, who in fact was put into a coma by her mother.
She was told her twin daughters had died, when in fact, Madeline sold them to two different people.
Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) went to Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) stepfather Frank Benson (James Patrick Stuart in flashbacks) and Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) to Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel).
Might Madeline have sold baby Cassius as well, Liesl being told her twin died-surely if she was having twins she’d remember that!
What Will Liesl’s Flashbacks Reveal?
One question is what Liesl’s flashbacks will reveal-will it be a foggy memory of when she gave birth, or something untoward happened afterwards? Britt is at least ten or twelve years older than her brother, if not older-if Cassius had been kidnapped by their father as a baby, she would have remembered.
Such an event certainly would have spurred Liesl to whisk Nathan away to the presumed safety of her sister’s home, but it wouldn’t explain her claiming the baby boy was Victor’s!
The only thing that seems to make sense is that Liesl prearranged with Madeline to raise her twin sons, which she must have known about. But like she later did with Nina, Madeline must have sold Baby Cassius and told everyone he died!
