GH Spoilers: Brown Connects With Carly For the First Time

Brown recalled the scene at Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman) house when Carly put on her mother’s necklace. She marveled at the necklace and herself while looking at the mirror when Bobbie walked in. The actress revealed that the audience connected with her character for the first time in that scene.

It was also the first time that she connected with her alter ego and managed to bring the character to life. That’s when it all started. The actress said she was surprised at the popularity of her former alter ego over the years. She admitted that she could have stayed in the soap and continued playing the character for 25 years.

However, she said that it wasn’t her dream. If she decided to stay at that time, she wouldn’t have the chance to do different things. Not only that, she might wind up wondering what else she can do with her life. She wanted to explore other things and she doesn’t regret her decision to leave.

Brown thanked all the actors who played Carly over the years and the writers who made sure that she remained an interesting character. When asked what the most challenging storyline she did, the actress said it “was playing in Maurice’s penthouse and doing the mental illness, the breakdown stuff that Sonny went through.”

Apart from General Hospital, her other acting credits include As the World Turns, Crossing Jordan, Without a Trace, Cold Case, and Big Momma’s House 2.
