General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has been getting her life back on track. Alexis has been readjusting to life outside of jail. Alexis has been grateful to get to be with her family and friends again. Alexis has been reconnecting with her daughters Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos), and Kristina Davis-Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth). Sam has found happiness with Dante Falconari (Dominic Zamprogna). Sam was surprised when she and Dante became a couple. Sam has relieved when her children Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri) and Danny Morgan (Zakary Risinger) accepted her relationship with Dante. Sam has been trying to help Scout to be able to reconnect with her father Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Drew had been away from Port Charles for years because of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Sam wants Drew to have a good relationship with Scout. Sam has been helping Danny to deal with the loss of his father Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Sam has been able to turn to Alexis for help to deal with the different challenges that she has been facing in regards to her relationships and family.

Alexis has been trying to decide on what she wants from her life. Sam had wanted Alexis to join her and become a private investigator. Sam thought that Alexis would be a good PI. Alexis was reluctant to take Sam up on her offer. Alexis decided to enroll some courses at Port Charles University. Alexis was given an offer to become a teacher but may not be able take the job because of her past.
Alexis has a good friend Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) who has given Alexis the chance to come to work for him at newspaper The Invader. Shawn believes that Alexis can help him to bring the truth to light about the injustices of the world. Alexis had been a lawyer and has the desire to get justice for those who need it. Sam is excited that Alexis is working with Shawn and believes that Alexis will be happy working as a reporter.
