General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Hopes to Keep the Peace Between Esme and Spencer — Will It Work?
General Hospital Spoilers reveal Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is so tired of the fighting in her family. She was hopeful that she could help bridge the gap between her son, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), and his own son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). That didn’t work out. With Nikolas out of the picture for now and Spencer kicking himself for being played a fool by Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and her daddy dearest, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), will Laura be able to mend fences between mother and big brother for the betterment of baby Ace Cassadine?
General Hospital Spoilers — Spencer Seeks Custody
Spencer wants custody of his baby brother for more than the most obvious reason. Sure, Esme is headed back to prison, but the state of New York will allow her to take her baby with her for the first year and a half of his life. Certainly, Spencer doesn’t think prison is the best place for a baby to be, but Esme can’t bear the idea of parting ways with her son, and she definitely doesn’t want to send him off with the ever so arrogant Cassadine family.
As Spencer continues to pull out every trick in the book trying to win his way to custody, nothing is going to work, and it’s going to leave Laura trying to put out the fire between him and Esme.
GH Spoilers Hint Esme Trusts No One
No one can blame Esme for being afraid that everyone is against her or trying to manipulate her. Some of them are! Esme is trying to make the best decision for her child, but it’s hard without knowing the truth about the many pieces involved. She wants to believe Laura has good intentions, but she has such an immense distrust for the Cassadine family and Laura seems to keep making excuses for many of the men with that last name.
General Hospital Spoilers — Where Will Baby Ace End Up?
The whole family will continue to circle around Esme as though the final say is up to her, but Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) has stressed that the mother’s wishes have a lot of sway with the court. Esme simply isn’t willing to give her baby up, even if she knows this isn’t what is best for him.
The alternatives are so unappealing, and the only way Laura may be able to keep the peace with Esme is if she throws Spencer slightly under the bus. This would be a bold move for Laura, given that she has been the one constant and loyal force in Spencer’s life. Will she forsake one grandson for the other? It appears she’ll have to.
