General Hospital Spoilers: Joss Balks at Dex’s Next Step — Burying Sonny’s Secrets
General Hospital spoilers tease fans have been on the edge of their seats as Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) finds herself caught in the middle of a dangerous situation. Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), her boyfriend, is deeply involved in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) mob empire.
As Joss becomes more aware of Dex’s activities in the business, she will have to confront her own fears and decide if she can handle being in a relationship with someone connected to the mob. Now that Sonny knows his whole family is at risk, he’s going to make sure Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) can never take one step in Avery Corinthos’ (Grace Scarola) direction. But let’s be honest, Sonny isn’t going to do that job himself; he’ll tell Dex to do it.

Now that Sonny knows what Ava Jerome (Maura West) has been hiding, he’s going to be able to protect her in ways that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) can’t. Moreover, Sonny doesn’t trust Austin the same way Ava does. Perhaps Ava never trusted him as much as she was forced to go along with him either.
Otherwise, why would she spill her guts to Sonny at the eleventh hour? Regardless, it may not take Dex telling Joss what’s going on. Sonny could clue Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in on Ava’s plight, since her daughter would also be impacted by a change in the family nanny. If Carly tells Joss about the threats looming around Sonny, will it change how comfortable she is with Dex working for him?
GH Spoilers Suggest Dex Isn’t Open With Joss
Joss is young and naive. She thought her relationship with Dex was a two-way street where they were honest with each other. But shouldn’t she know better by now that Dex’s transparency doesn’t extend to unearthing secrets about Sonny’s business — not even to her. As a child, Joss witnessed the consequences of mob life firsthand and vowed to steer clear of that lifestyle as an adult.
However, as she finds herself drawn deeper into Dex’s world, Joss will begin to feel less than comfortable with this lifestyle. Seeing the pain Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) family is going through makes her question whether she can truly handle the danger and uncertainty that comes with being with Dex. Will Joss come to resent Dex for keeping it a secret just how much danger he’s in?

Joss is soon going to find herself torn between her love for Dex and the need for safety and stability. Her anxiety about Dex’s work is not unfounded. Learning that Dex was ordered to dispose of a dead body just days after narrowly escaping danger at the Metro Court pool when Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was shot is enough to make anyone question their comfort level in a relationship. Joss doesn’t want to let go of Dex, but she may find herself wanting him to distance himself from Sonny and the mob.
