General Hospital Spoilers: Jagger Compromises His Career to Help Ava…and Help Himself
General Hospital Spoilers reveal Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) is going to have his work cut out for him if he plans to throw himself into the fire to try to help Ava Jerome (Maura West) of all people.
These two may be allies, but their “relationship” is awfully new. No one would be the least bit surprised if Jagger learned his lesson quickly here, albeit the hard way, and backed off from Ava.
Of course, she’s not going to let the guy off the hook that easily when he may be her only possible ticket to freedom. Will Jagger sidestep the truth he suspects to help Ava just to suit his own agenda, or will he do the right thing and follow the letter of the law?
General Hospital Spoilers — Ava is in Deep
After being paid a visit by Assistant District Attorney Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos), Ava knows she’s skating on thin ice trying to paint herself as innocent.
As Molly read off the details of the gruesome death her unborn child endured, Ava knew how this would sound in a court of law to any jury that was slated to determine her fate.
This isn’t her first rodeo. She knows she’s going to need more than just her word to convince anyone that she — someone with the record she has — didn’t attack Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) or push her through that window.
Kristina might have a checkered past herself, but she doesn’t have a history of losing her cool on others the way Ava claims she did on her.
GH Spoilers Tease Jagger’s Interest Wavers
Jagger might feel a twinge of sympathy for Ava’s situation. Seeing her behind bars wasn’t easy, and he heard her plea for help loud and clear.
Taking matters into his own hands and seeking out the pharmacist who had been fudging Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) prescriptions, it’s anyone’s guess what will come of the GH pharmacist when Jagger is done with him.
But it does look like the guy is willing to get his hands dirty helping Ava just to stay on top of his vendetta against Sonny.
Still, as Jagger starts to put two and two together about Ava’s confession that she hid his luggage in the aftermath of her argument with Kristina, he may come to remember where he left it and whether Ava’s shoes were part of a lie she’s feeding to the PCPD.
General Hospital Spoilers — This Isn’t About Ava
Jagger has been keen on cozying up to Ava in recent weeks because she must be the only person in Port Charles who understands just how angry Jagger is with Sonny.
Knowing he has no other leverage and no one else close to Sonny who is willing to turn on him, Jagger just might go against Police Commissioner Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) warnings and charge after Sonny anyway — even when it’s clear that the situation is shaping up to paint Ava as guilty of more than one crime.
Is it really worth holding onto this ally even if she takes him down with her? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
Rumor has it that Jagger/John Cates (Adam Harrington) is on his way out so I’d look for him to either 1) go after Sonny against Anna’s warning and end up the wrong end of a gun – probably Jason’s in the process of saving Sonny’s life or 2) try to help Ava, lose his FBI position and Pentonville gets yet another new resident. Number 2 would be boring, boring BORING. Number 1 would cement the relationship between Sonny and Jason back to what it was prior to Jason’s “disappearance”. Both scenarios are fairly predictable.
