General Hospital Spoilers: Is Trina’s Future Headed Off-Campus and Into the Nursery?

General Hospital spoilers leak Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) took Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) by surprise when she so easily leaned in to help her in a pinch.

Laura might be busy with her mayoral duties, but she knew what she was getting into by deciding — along with Dr. Kevin Collins (John Lindstrom) — to become Ace Cassadine’s (Jay and Joey Clay) legal guardian.

Laura may have concerns that Trina’s head isn’t in the right place since Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) presumed death, and they’re not entirely off-par, but no one will feel comfortable trying to rush Trina into coping on any timeline but her own.

That being said, will anyone be able to stop her if she starts to use Ace as the last connection she has to make her feel like she’s still close to the love she lost with Spencer?

General Hospital Spoilers — Grief Shows Up in Funny Ways

While it’s true that no one can really tell Trina how long it should take for her to accept Spencer’s death and move on with her life, few will be able to say she’s not doing that either.

Some of her prior plans might be on hold now, but it’s not irrational that Trina doesn’t want to go study in Paris after she lost the love of her life there during such a traumatic tragedy.

However, Trina isn’t even sure she wants to go back to college at all. The more she finds ways to keep busy with the gallery or baby Ace, the more she may veer away from plans for her own future altogether.

GH Spoilers Claim Trina’s People Grow Concerned

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) has had a lot on her plate since becoming Co-Chief of Staff at the hospital. She may be a little distracted herself, and absent-minded about what her daughter is going through.

So when Trina starts to show extra interest in Spencer’s little brother, Portia might not see it as a problem. But Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) seems to be a little bit more in tune with their daughter these days and could put those concerns on Portia’s radar.

We can trust that if Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) gets looped in to the matter, she’ll have no problem voicing her concerns either. But will any of them take those concerns to Laura and try to intervene in what they suspect is Trina’s plan to become a caregiver to Ace?

General Hospital Spoilers — No One Wants to Be the Bad Guy

Trina’s mom has been the bad guy enough times in her daughter’s eyes that she’s not looking to ever go back into that category in Trina’s book. This may complicate matters when it’s clear that it should be Trina’s parents stepping in to reel her in, and they don’t.

That being said, Ava may have no intentions of turning Trina away from the gallery, but she may feel obligated to curtail Trina’s duties there if she thinks it’s driving her to stay distracted from her grief instead of dealing with it. That being said, Laura is going to have the hardest job ahead.

If anyone can limit the amount of time Trina spends with Ace, it’s her. But Laura also needs a caregiver for Ace she can trust. Will she accept Trina’s offer to become Ace’s nanny even if she believes it’s only in Ace’s best interest and not Trina’s? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
