General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis And Gregory Chase Clashed Over An Invader Article

Alexis and Gregory had clashed over an Invader article back a few weeks ago when they came across each other in the park. They have entirely opposite views on journalism and what it should be and Gregory had taken exception to an exposé she had run at the time. He had felt it gave The Invader the appearance of a tabloid, a gossip rag, when she said the exposé was relevant to societal issues at the time.

Alexis had dared Gregory to write an article and if she accepted it, she would run it but the two hadn’t communicated since that time. Now, a few weeks later, he’s written an op-ed for The Invader and again they butt heads!

GH Spoilers – Gregory Chase Has Black And White Ideas About How Things Should Be

Gregory has been a college professor for many years and also married to a famous reporter, Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) from whom he is now divorced. Greg has some clear cut, black and white ideas about how things should be in relation to journalism, and Alexis is not from his theoretical world – she’s the editor.

She makes day to day decisions about which content is making sales and which is not, and is much more in the real world. She’s not looking for accurate term papers and scholastic tomes, she’s looking for sales but at the same time she’s looking for cutting edge content on societal issues. These are the differences between Alexis and Gregory that really cause a lot of clashes even though they are immensely attracted to each other!

General Hospital Spoilers – Clash Of Ideologies

Alexis and Gregory definitely have a clash of ideologies, her seeing grey areas and him not so much – that would reflect in his articles. Alexis isn’t sure her readers would go for his op-ed with all its clearly defined ideological and other boundaries, arguing that the world is no longer that way. But then the two of them think in completely different ways, with two completely different world views, and she realizes she’s not being as open minded as she claims.

Alexis has been thinking that her readership all thinks exactly the way that she does, and that is not being open to others’ ideas! So she decides to open her own mind to Gregory’s black and white world and give him a chance with running his op-ed.

GH Spoilers – Alexis Davis Makes A Deal With Gregory Chase

Alexis makes a deal with Gregory, allowing the readers to decide who the winner of their ideological argument is! If Gregory’s op-ed gets more approvals than disapprovals, then he’ll be allowed more input into the paper, because up to now, Alexis has only taken articles that she agrees with! Alexis feels like she may be taking a risk since she is so sure her readership will pan his black and white and what she considers narrow minded views. However, she may also attract readership with more differing viewpoints, which may be good for her bottom line!
