General Hospital Spoilers: Evil Esmé: Is She Worth A Second Chance?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Evil Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is about to be exposed for the schemer she really is. She may even have to pay for her crimes, which are numerous; the question is though, is she worth a second chance?

General Hospital Spoilers: Villains Sometimes Can Be Redeemed

There are certain cases where villains sometimes can be redeemed, usually by finding out that the villain in question was influenced by something that warped their thinking and behavior. There are a few on the GH canvas right now that started out villainous but something changed. One of Esmé’s worst enemies is one of them; Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West); losing her daughter, Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) seems to have turned her around.

Ironically, Esmé’s thought to be birth father Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) killed Kiki; another redeemed villain was Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). In his case, a brain tumor being removed – the first one – was his redemption, and he actually feared the second turning him back into a killer.

GH Spoilers: Other Villains Reformed

Ava and Franco aren’t the only redeemed villains in Port Charles; think of how bad Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) was when she first came to town. She was truly a Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) type who stole her mother’s husband, shot him in open court, and was intent on destroying Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).

Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) are two more redeemed schemers, along with their relative Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) went from a mercenary to a businessman as well, although he’s having some problems standing up to his father. Could Esmé have what it takes to be redeemed is the big question – right now it doesn’t seem like it.

General Hospital Spoilers: Who Are Esmé Prince’s Real Birth Parents?

One factor in any possible redemption for Esmé would be who her real birth parents are, and if Esmé isn’t too far gone to change. For a few minutes there, it seemed like Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) might not only be her birth mother, but might have talked some sense into her about Ryan. If Esmé had been honest with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) about why she wanted information about Ryan, things may have been much different.

But now, since she lied to him and was caught, she’s continued on the path of lying and manipulating which it seems is all she knows. Esmé wanted to find out if what Felicia said about what Ryan did to her was true, because he told her a much different story.

GH Spoilers:  Could Esmé Prince’s Trouble Make Her Crumble?

Esmé has never had to pay for the trouble she’s caused and that could be for her whole life; could the trouble she’s in now make her crumble? She very well may have killed Oz Haggerty, (Max Faugno) the bartender she bought the cell phone from that she framed Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) with. The change in her when he started squirming and having problems breathing broke her usually smug look and turned it into fear when Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) showed up. Perhaps a little dose of crime and punishment might be just what Esmé needs to force a desire to change; scared straight, perhaps?
