General Hospital Spoilers: Ethan Knows Phoebe’s Real Father – Did the DNA Swap Save Her Life?
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there must be a reason Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) switched his DNA with DNA stolen from PCPD evidence.
Was it the real father’s DNA Ethan stole that he switched with his own in a recent episode of the ABC soap?
Ethan Must Know Who The Real Father Is, And That He Had Committed Crimes In PC
Since Ethan picked a DNA sample from the Port Charles Police Department evidence room and knew where to find it, it stands to reason that he knows who the real father is.
It also stands to reason that thinking ahead, he may need proof he’s baby Phoebe Wilson’s (Luna and Lucia Creighton) birth father, when he really isn’t.
So it makes perfect sense to switch the DNA samples when Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was out of the examining room after taking his DNA.
With a little help from a different friend in the hospital, he could have even arranged for the call that came in when a doctor needed Elizabeth’s help!
It also makes sense that Ethan regretted arriving in Port Charles too late to protect Delilah Wilson (Lily Cardone) if the baby’s father lives in Port Charles and is dangerous!
If Ethan Needs A Paternity Test Proving He’s The Baby’s Father, He’s Got One
So if Ethan needs a paternity test proving he’s the baby’s father, he’s got one now, and there should be no complications with signing papers giving Phoebe for adoption.
Harrison and Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Josh Swickard, Amanda Setton) are very close to being able to make baby Phoebe’s adoption final.
That is, if Chase doesn’t do anything to mess things up with Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) who’s been acting as an adoption advocate for the couple!
However that works out, Ethan knows that the baby is much safer in the Quartermaine mansion where there is security and he can tell she’s well-loved.
Ethan Obviously Wants To Protect Delilah’s Baby From The Real Father
Ethan obviously wants to protect Delilah’s baby from the real father, whoever he turns out to be, but there is an important question that needs to be answered.
He knows from talking to Chase and Brook Lynn, who found Delilah in a state of distress, that there’s a possibility she was in distress after an encounter with the mystery father!
There didn’t seem to be anyone suspicious hanging around the hospital the night that Delilah gave birth, and then sadly died, and no one looking into the nursery.
Brook Lynn can verify that because she never left Delilah’s side, and looked in on Phoebe in the nursery quite often.
If Ethan knows enough about the real father to know his DNA would be in evidence at the PCPD, then he must know whether he’s still alive, or possibly incarcerated, and chances are, he’s alive and free!
